Clash of Clans is set for a massive update in March 2025, addressing long-standing player requests and removing features that have become outdated. This update introduces one of the most significant changes in the game's history.
No More Troop, Spell, or Siege Machine Training Times!
Prepare for a faster-paced battle experience! The update eliminates troop, spell, and siege machine training times, allowing for back-to-back attacks without waiting. Hero recovery time is also removed, keeping your heroes constantly in the fight. This change applies to Titan League and below; the Legend League will retain its eight-battle daily limit for now. This significant shift continues Clash of Clans' trend of removing outdated mechanics, following the removal of training costs in 2022. Supercell aims to provide a more streamlined and barrier-free gameplay experience.
Adjustments to Accompany the Changes:
With the removal of training times, Training Potions and Training Treats become obsolete. They will be removed from in-app purchase bundles, and any remaining potions and treats in player inventories will be converted into Gems.
Introducing the New Match Anytime System!
To ensure continuous gameplay, a new Match Anytime system will provide snapshot bases for attack when real bases are unavailable. These are saved versions of shielded player bases. Battles against snapshot bases function like normal battles, with loot and trophy gains for the attacker, but no losses for the defender. This system, already used in Clan Wars and Legend League, expands to multiplayer battles.
Further Tweaks:
To balance the increased number of battles per session, the number of trophies earned per victory will be reduced. Additionally, Clan Castle request timers are standardized to 10 minutes for all players.
