Delta Force, previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, is now accepting pre-registrations for its mobile release on iOS and Android. This Tencent-developed title, launching late January 2025, aims to revitalize the classic military shooter franchise with a blend of tactical gameplay, diverse missions, and multiple modes.
For those unfamiliar, Delta Force holds a significant place in FPS history, predating even Call of Duty. Known for its realistic weaponry and gadgets, the series draws inspiration from the US military's elite Delta Force unit.
Level Infinite's reboot offers engaging game modes. "Warfare" mode delivers large-scale battles reminiscent of Battlefield, while "Operations" focuses on extraction-style gameplay. A single-player campaign, inspired by the Battle of Mogadishu and the film "Black Hawk Down," is also planned for 2025.
Addressing Cheating Concerns
Despite high anticipation, Delta Force has faced criticism regarding its anti-cheat measures. Tencent's aggressive approach, employing G.T.I. Security and implementing restrictions on PC hardware and software, has drawn negative feedback. While the impact on the mobile version remains to be seen, these controversies may deter some potential players. The reduced likelihood of cheating on mobile platforms, however, offers a potential path to success.
