In a recent interview with YouTube channel GTAVIoclock, former Rockstar Games developer Ben Hinchliffe shared his perspective on *GTA 6*. Hinchliffe, a contributor to several Rockstar titles including *GTA 6*, *GTA 5*, *Red Dead Redemption 2*, and *L.A. Noire*, offered a glimpse into the game's development.Hinchliffe stated he was privy to significant aspects of the game's content and story, expressing satisfaction with its evolution. Rockstar Games previously released an official trailer showcasing GTA 6's protagonists, Vice City setting, and plot hints. Scheduled for a Fall 2025 release exclusively on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, details have been scarce. However, Hinchliffe confirmed GTA 6 represents a significant advancement for Rockstar Games.
Hinchliffe suggests that extensive fine-tuning and performance optimization have likely occurred since his departure three years ago. He believes Rockstar is currently focused on addressing bugs and ensuring optimal performance.
Regarding fan reaction, Hinchliffe predicts overwhelmingly positive responses, particularly regarding the game's realism. He confidently anticipates strong sales, stating, "It will blow people away. It will sell an absolute ton as it always does. People have been talking about it for ages after GTA 5 and I’m really excited for people to get their hands on it and play it."
