The Battle of Polytopia Brings a New Game Mode Called Weekly Challenges

The Battle of Polytopia has injected a thrilling new competitive element: Weekly Challenges. This exciting addition offers a fresh, structured way to test your strategic mettle in this beloved 4X strategy game.

From Randomness to Rigorous Competition

Polytopia’s charm lies in its inherent randomness—the unpredictable mix of enemies, resources, and maps. The free update changes this dynamic, introducing structured competition. Each week, all players face identical conditions: the same map, tribe, and gameplay parameters. The goal? Achieve the highest score within 20 turns. You get one attempt per day, for a maximum of seven attempts per week.

This innovative feature allows you to experience tribes you may not own. The game boasts 16 tribes—four included in the base game, and twelve more available for purchase. However, in Weekly Challenges, everyone plays as the same tribe, regardless of ownership.

Will Weekly Challenges Elevate Polytopia's Excitement?

The new mode incorporates a League system, starting players in the Entry League. Your rank ascends (or descends) based on weekly performance. The top third advances, the bottom third drops, and the middle remains unchanged. Difficulty scales with your league; Entry League features Easy AI, while Gold League pits you against Crazy difficulty bots. Missing a week prevents demotion but impacts your ranking relative to other players.

Download the game from the Google Play Store to experience the new Weekly Challenges. For more gaming news, read our article on hololive's first-ever global mobile game, Dreams.
