Monster Hunter Wilds Update 1: March 2025 Showcase Highlights

Capcom unveiled exciting details during the Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase, highlighting the upcoming content for its latest addition to the Monster Hunter series. Title Update 1, set to launch on April 4, 2025, will be a free update available to all Monster Hunter Wilds players. Alongside this major update, Capcom will release a variety of both free and paid cosmetic DLC. The showcase kicked off with an introduction to the new endgame hub designed for hunting parties, known as the Grand Hub. This new area offers a range of activities, from feasting and arm wrestling to enjoying nightly performances by the Diva. Players can also engage in a fun Barrel Bowling mini-game, earning vouchers and rewards through various in-game activities. To unlock the Grand Hub, reach Hunter Rank 16 and speak with Tetsuzan in Suja, the Peaks of Accord.

Mizutsune Arrives

A highlight of Title Update 1 is the introduction of the Mizutsune, a monster known for its swift tail strikes and powerful water jets. Players at Hunter Rank 21 or above can encounter Mizutsune in the Scarlet Forest by speaking with Kanya to initiate the quest. Successful hunts will reward players with new gear to craft.

Additional Hunts on the Way

New Event Quests will introduce the formidable Arch-tempered Rey Dau, a challenge for players at Hunter Rank 50 and above. Overcoming this beast will unlock new armor sets. Additionally, players can now re-fight Zoh Shia through new quests after reaching Hunter Rank 50, with the opportunity to craft new armor from these encounters.

Arena Quests

Speedrun enthusiasts will find their niche with the new Arena Quests, where they can compete for the fastest clear times. Both Challenge Quests and Free Challenge Quests are available, with pendants awarded for participation and achievement. Access these quests at the counter in the Grand Hub.

Change Alma's Outfit

Alma, the dedicated handler, is getting a stylish upgrade. Players can now customize Alma's appearance through a new menu at camp, with one free outfit available. Completing a specific side mission will also allow you to change Alma's glasses.

More DLC is on the Way

Alongside Title Update 1, a mix of free and paid DLC will be released. Classic gestures from previous Monster Hunter games will be available for free, while the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1, accessible through the store or included with the Cosmetic DLC Pass or Premium Deluxe Edition, offers additional cosmetic options. New stickers and looks for Alma are also on the way.

More Event Quests and Seasonal Events

Capcom is planning more Event Quests and Seasonal Events, which will transform the Grand Hub's appearance and offer unique meals. The Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, starting April 23, will introduce pink cherry blossoms and new decor. Capcom has confirmed that most past events and Event Quests will return in the future.

The Roadmap Ahead

Here's the rollout plan for Title Update 1 and its associated content. U.S. players will receive Title Update 1 on April 3, followed by the Blossomdance event on April 22. The challenging Arch-tempered Rey Dau arrives on April 29, with additional features and a Capcom collaboration set to debut by the end of May.

Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2

The showcase concluded with a sneak peek at Title Update 2, slated for this summer. While no specific date was given, a teaser image hinted at the return of the fan-favorite Lagiacrus, the underwater leviathan, now causing chaos on the surface.
