Monster Hunter Now Season 4: Enter the Frozen Tundra

Niantic has launched Season 4 of Monster Hunter Now, transforming the world into a frosty winter wonderland for you to explore. You'll venture into the tundra with a host of new additions to keep your hunts exciting, even if you're just braving the cold from your couch.

What's New in Monster Hunter Now Season 4?

Monster Hunter Now Season 4 introduces the new Snowy Tundra habitat. You'll navigate icy blasts, deep snowdrifts, and a fresh roster of monsters. This season debuts Lagombi, Volvidon, Somnacanth, and the formidable Tigrex.

Barioth, along with smaller monsters like Wulg and Cortos, are also arriving. Tigrex is primed for Hunt-a-thons and may even appear in the field for lucky hunters. You'll unlock these beasts through urgent quests as you advance through the season's story chapters. Completing the prologue grants you access to the tundra.

The Switch Axe arrives as a brand-new weapon. Think of it as two weapons in one. Its Axe Mode delivers wide, sweeping strikes, while switching to Sword Mode unleashes a frenzied, powered-up assault. You can unlock the Switch Gauge by finishing the pre-season story in Chapter 2.

Niantic is providing personalized Palico companions to aid in gathering materials and scouting monsters. You can customize their fur color, facial features, and give them any name you like. For AR enthusiasts, you can bring your custom Palico into the real world and take photos together.

Friend Cheering also joins Season 4 to add a supportive touch to your hunts. Send a cheer to a friend, and they'll receive a temporary health boost for the day, though there is a cap on how much health can be restored this way.
