The White Wolf makes his final return. Production for The Witcher's fifth and concluding season is now in progress, with newly surfaced images introducing Liam Hemsworth as the lead, Geralt of Rivia, alongside other fresh and familiar faces.
These apparent set photos—shared by the fan site Redanian Intelligence—show the Hunger Games actor in full character regalia, complete with Geralt's iconic long white hair. Also pictured are returning performers like Meng’er Zhang as Milva and Joey Batey as Jaskier, both series veterans since Henry Cavill's tenure as the lead. Hemsworth was confirmed to take over the role for Seasons 4 and the final Season 5 back in October 2022.

Set images also reveal new characters introduced in Season 4 who will continue into the final chapter, including acclaimed actor Laurence Fishburne as Emiel Regis.
Based on these leaks, fans speculate Season 5 may draw inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski's novel "The Tower of the Swallow," where Geralt encounters beekeepers leading him toward druids. With Season 4 still unreleased, the narrative remains wide open—and there's much story left to unfold before viewers can piece together the full picture suggested by these glimpses.
Cavill isn't the only departure prompting recasting. Kim Bodnia, who played Geralt's mentor Vesemir, won't return for Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts. Netflix has yet to announce his replacement or confirm an official premiere date for the upcoming season.
