Want to use or mute voice chat in Monster Hunter Rise? Multiplayer doesn't necessitate constant communication. But if you prefer in-game voice chat (without Discord or other external party chat), here's how to manage it.

All voice chat settings reside within the game's audio menu. Access the options menu (either in-game or from the main menu), navigate to the third tab from the right, and scroll down to locate the Voice Chat settings. You'll find three options: Enable, Disable, and Push-to-Talk. "Enable" keeps voice chat constantly active; "Disable" turns it off completely; and "Push-to-Talk" activates voice chat only when you press a designated keyboard key (keyboard only).
Further options control voice chat volume (adjusting its loudness) and voice chat auto-toggle. Auto-toggle prioritizes voice chat for either your current quest members, your link party members, or disables automatic switching. Quest members are those currently participating in your hunt, the most common choice. Link members are those in your link party, useful for collaborative story progression or assisting others, accommodating pauses for cutscenes.
That covers voice chat in Monster Hunter Rise. While its audio quality may not rival dedicated apps, the in-game option provides convenience, especially for cross-platform play.
