Path of Exile 2: Ultimate Guide to Acquiring Ingenuity Utility Belt

Author : Caleb Feb 25,2025

This guide details how to obtain the Ingenuity Utility Belt, a unique and powerful belt in Path of Exile 2. Acquiring it requires significant endgame progression.

How to Obtain the Ingenuity Utility Belt:

Ingenuity Utility Belt

The Ingenuity Utility Belt is a unique drop from the King in the Mists, a challenging endgame Ritual Boss. To access this encounter, you'll need "An Audience With the King," an item used at the Atlas Realmgate. Defeating the King in the Mists offers a chance to obtain the belt, but it's not guaranteed. The drop rate is approximately one in five attempts. Other possible drops include:

  1. The Burden of Shadows Chiming Staff
  2. Beetlebite
  3. From Nothing
  4. Pragmatism

The King in the Mists' difficulty scales; higher difficulties increase the drop chance but also significantly increase the challenge. His attacks are similar to his Act 1 counterpart, providing a reference point for preparation.

Alternatively, the belt can be purchased on the official PoE 2 trade site for approximately 15-50 Divine Orbs, depending on its stats. This is a far more expensive but reliable method.

How to Obtain "An Audience With the King":

"An Audience With the King" can be acquired through two methods:

  • Trade Site: Expect to pay around 4-7 Divine Orbs.
  • Ritual Maps: This item has a low chance of appearing as a Ritual favor. These favors are expensive (2700-3900 Tribute). If unaffordable, defer the item to obtain it at a reduced cost in a future Ritual (typically within 1-4 maps).

If you obtain "An Audience With the King" but aren't prepared for the fight, consider seeking a carry service or selling the item.

Can Orb of Chance Obtain the Ingenuity Utility Belt?

No. The Ingenuity Utility Belt is not in the regular loot pool and cannot be obtained through Orb of Chance, unlike items such as Astramentis or Polcirkeln. It's exclusively a King in the Mists drop or a trade acquisition.
