Developer Tyler has just rolled out the highly anticipated 0.3.4 update for the viral hit game, Schedule I, following a brief testing period. The update, detailed in the Steam patch notes, marks the first major content expansion since the game's explosive early access launch on Steam on March 24.

The 0.3.4 update introduces a plethora of new features to enhance the drug dealer simulator experience. Players can now explore the functional interiors of the Bleuballs Boutique and a Pawn Shop, where they can sell various items to Mick, excluding product. The update also adds a range of decorative items, including wooden and metal signs, wall-mounted shelves, safes, wall lamps, a grandfather clock, and even a selection of six collectible paintings. New items like Ol' Man Jimmy's Whiskey, Château La Peepee, Brut du Gloop, and various luxury items such as silver and gold watches, chains, and bars have been added, with liquor items set to become functional in future updates.

In his Steam post, Tyler apologized for the delay in releasing the update, explaining that he's still refining the update and testing process. He reassured players that starting next month, larger monthly updates will be released on time, improving the overall development cycle.

Looking ahead, Tyler is prioritizing the resolution of remaining bugs, focusing on ensuring consistent employee performance, preventing save game corruption, and minimizing disconnections and loading issues in multiplayer. He's also working on optimizing the game and aims to achieve Steam Deck verification soon, which will serve as a performance benchmark.

Schedule I skyrocketed to the top of Steam's sales charts upon its launch, outpacing heavyweights like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals, thanks to its viral spread across social media, Twitch, and YouTube. In the game, players start as small-time drug dealers in the gritty city of Hyland Point and work their way up to becoming kingpins, managing drug production and distribution, and expanding their empire through properties, businesses, and employees.

Developed and published by TVGS, the Australian indie studio led by Tyler, the game's launch has been described as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." Tyler expressed his surprise at the overwhelming response in a Reddit post, stating, "I never expected this kind of response! At the moment I’m just trying to stay focused and get patches out ASAP. Also looking forward to getting started on content updates as soon as all major bugs are patched."
