Monster Hunter Now Tests New Monster Outbreaks Feature

Exciting times are ahead for fans of Monster Hunter Now, as Niantic introduces a new feature they're testing called Monster Outbreaks. This innovative feature is set to shake up the gameplay, and Niantic is keen to gather player feedback to fine-tune it before its official release. So, if you're a fan, here's what you need to know about participating in the Monster Outbreaks testing.

When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?

The testing phase for Monster Outbreaks will take place from April 26th to April 27th. You'll have the chance to dive into the action twice a day, on both Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., local time. So, mark your calendars and set your alarms!

During these designated hours, specific outbreak points on the map will swarm with 8-star Black Diablos. Your mission? Team up with other players to take down a total of 100 of these formidable beasts at each outbreak location within the one-hour window. Remember, this is 100 monsters per outbreak point, not a global total!

To join the hunt, you must be at least HR 11. Note that the party feature won't be available; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal. Outbreak points are easily identifiable on the map with a unique icon. Once you spot one, tap on it to view the details and even sign up on the roster to coordinate with fellow hunters.

Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!

The mechanics of the slay count are particularly fascinating. If you and three other hunters take down one Black Diablos, it counts as four towards the target of 100. And if your group reaches the 100 mark before the hour ends, you can keep hunting as Black Diablos will continue to spawn throughout the event.

Successfully reaching the 100-monster goal comes with sweet rewards: 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Plus, if you use the sign-up roster, you're eligible for the exclusive Outbreak Test I Medal.

Interested in joining the Monster Outbreaks testing? Download Monster Hunter Now from the Google Play Store and get ready to participate over the weekend.
