Classic Bridge utilizes the Standard American bidding system. The game's strategic depth and ever-changing bidding dynamics provide endless replayability.
Gameplay Overview:
Four players receive an even distribution of cards. Players bid on the number of tricks (above 6) their partnership believes they can win, using any suit or "No Trumps." Bidding proceeds as an auction, with players opting to bid higher or pass. The opening lead is made by the player to the Declarer's left.
Players must follow suit if possible; otherwise, they can play any card, including a trump. The winning team aims to achieve their bid; the opposing team tries to prevent this. After the opening lead, the Dummy's hand is revealed. The Declarer plays both their hand and the Dummy's.
Scoring involves awarding contract points for successful bids or imposing undertrick penalties. A "Rubber" is won by the first team to reach 100 contract points in two out of three games.
