It faithfully implements all official chess rules, recognizing draws by stalemate, insufficient material, the fifty-move rule, and threefold repetition. Strong players are challenged to defeat the engine on the highest difficulty settings (levels 16-20).
If you are new to chess, practicing on the lower levels (1-10) can improve your stability, focus, and concentration.
To move a piece, simply touch it. All legal moves will be highlighted; then touch your desired destination.
To start a new game against the computer: tap Computer -> select a level -> choose your color -> Play.
To play from a specific position: set up the board -> tap Computer -> select a level -> Play.
To have the computer play both sides from a given position: set up the board -> tap Computer -> tap BothSide -> choose a level.

To analyze your game: first, enter the game by moving for both sides. Then, tap the Reset button, save the game, load it, and use the Hint button (enabled by clicking an ad).
PolyGlot (.bin) opening book support is included. To use a PolyGlot book, ensure an SD card is mounted on your device and download the book file to your SD Card's Downloads or Documents folder. To add a book, tap "Files" -> "Add Book" -> select your file.
We highly recommend using this option for faster performance on higher difficulty levels.
You can export your saved games as PGN files to your SD Card -> Downloads folder.
