Hez2: A Popular Moroccan Card Game
Hez2 is a classic Moroccan card game perfect for families and friends. This turn-based game supports up to four players, allowing for solo, two-player, three-player, or four-player matches. The goal is simple: be the first to get rid of all your cards.
Gameplay involves matching either the suit or rank of the previously played card. If a player has no playable card, they must draw one from the deck. Even with a playable card, a player may choose to draw instead.
Special Cards:
- 2: When a player plays a two, the next player must draw two cards. If that player also has a two, they can choose to play it (forcing the next player to draw four), or draw two cards and save their two for later. This continues until a player without a two draws the accumulated cards.
- 7: Playing a seven allows the player to change the required suit/color for the next card played.
- 10: Playing a ten requires the player to immediately play another card. If the ten was their last card, they must draw a card from the deck.
- 12: In three or four-player games, playing a twelve skips the next player's turn. This rule doesn't apply in two-player games.
The game ends when a player plays their last card (with slight variations if the last card is a two or ten), declaring them the winner.
Hez2 uses a 40-card deck with four suits:
- 10 Copas (Tbaye9)
- 10 Espadas (Syouf)
- 10 Oros (D'hab)
- 10 Bastos (Zrawéte)
Each suit contains cards numbered 1-7, 10-12.
Hez2 is fun for everyone! Enjoy the game!
