Supergaming\'s Indus surpasses 11 million pre-registrations and introduces new 4v4 deathmatch mode

Author : Victoria Feb 08,2025

Indus, India's homegrown battle royale game, adds a thrilling new 4v4 deathmatch mode, further enhancing its appeal. This exciting development follows another significant milestone: the game has surpassed 11 million pre-registrations.

Despite this impressive achievement, a full release date remains unconfirmed, with the game currently in closed beta. Closed beta players can now enjoy an improved in-game audio experience, thanks to a recent update encompassing sound effects and music.

Indus, crafted specifically for the Indian gaming market, incorporates standard battle royale elements and innovative features, such as a Grudge system rewarding players for intense rivalries. Initially announced in 2022, the game has undergone numerous beta phases, steadily expanding its features and attracting a substantial player base. This growth reflects the burgeoning mobile gaming market in India.

While exceeding 11 million pre-registrations is a remarkable feat, the growth rate has slightly decelerated. The previous milestone of 10 million pre-registrations was achieved in March. Although an additional million players is significant, it doesn't reflect the previously rapid growth.

Anticipation for Indus's public launch is high. While the addition of new features is always welcome, the speculated late 2023 release date has passed. Hopefully, 2024 will bring a full release or, at the very least, a public beta.
