Bam Margera to Appear in THPS 3+4 After Tony Hawk's Insistence

Author : Simon May 01,2025

Bam Margera has been confirmed to be featured in the upcoming Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, despite not being initially included in the roster of returning skaters. This exciting news was shared by skateboarding media veteran Roger Bagley during a members-only livestream of The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.

According to Bagley, the game was "already done" when Tony Hawk personally intervened, contacting Activision to request Margera's inclusion. Despite being initially told it couldn't be done, Hawk's persistence paid off, showcasing his commitment to ensuring Margera's return to the game.

IGN has reached out to Activision for further comment on this development.

Bam Margera, a former professional skateboarder and well-known star of the Jackass film and TV series, has faced public challenges with alcohol and substance abuse, undergoing multiple rehab stints. Margera was notably fired from Jackass Forever and was subject to a restraining order from Jackass director Jeff Tremaine following alleged threats.

Recent videos of Hawk and Margera skateboarding together had fueled speculation about Margera's potential return to the game, and this has now been confirmed.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 was announced earlier this month and is set to launch on July 11, 2025, across multiple platforms including PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The game is being developed by Iron Galaxy and has overcome challenges following Activision's merger of the previous series developer, Vicarious Visions, with Blizzard, which had initially led to the project being scrapped.
