Author : Aiden Apr 15,2025

While the worldwide release of Sonic Rumble is still on the horizon, set for May 8th, the game isn't wasting any time with its inaugural crossover event. This isn't just any crossover; it's a celebration of iconic Sega characters from past and present, set to join the excitement before the game's global launch!

This unique pre-release event is happening now until May 7th, and it's accessible to those in regions where Sonic Rumble is in soft launch. During this period, you can claim the Werewolf character from the classic Altered Beast game absolutely free. It's a fantastic opportunity to get a taste of what's to come.

For those who subscribe to the Sega Star Event Pass, there's even more to look forward to. You'll unlock the Weredragon from Altered Beast and the beloved Opa-Opa from the arcade hit Fantasy Zone. These additions not only enhance your gameplay but also bring a nostalgic touch to your experience.

Sonic Rumble Crossover Event Characters**Lucky you** That's not all! More characters are up for grabs through the in-game Ring Shop, including Upa-Upa and the Werebear. Meanwhile, the Red Star Ring Shop will feature characters from Super Monkey Ball, such as AiAi and MeeMee, adding a playful twist to your collection.

It's certainly unusual to kick off such an event before the official release, but for those fortunate enough to be part of the soft launch, it's an exciting preview of what Sonic Rumble has in store. And this is just the beginning. Sega has promised a packed calendar of crossovers and collaborations, ensuring that Sonic Rumble will continue to surprise and delight its players.

On another note, if you're interested in upcoming releases, keep an eye on Finnish developer Supercell. They're gearing up for another rare launch soon.
