Avowed: What's Next After Beating the Game?

Author : Henry May 26,2025

While the expansive world of the Living Lands in *Avowed* offers a rich experience, the main quest in Obsidian’s latest RPG is actually quite concise. If you're eager for more adventures after the credits roll, here's what you can expect after completing *Avowed*.

Does Avowed Have New Game Plus?

For many avid gamers, especially RPG enthusiasts, the allure of replaying a main quest on a higher difficulty with accumulated skills and gear is undeniable. Unfortunately, *Avowed* does not offer a New Game Plus mode at launch. However, there's hope on the horizon. Given the community's demand for this feature post-main quest completion, Obsidian might introduce New Game Plus through a future update or DLC.

Even without a New Game Plus mode, *Avowed* still beckons for a replay. The game's rich narrative allows for multiple choices that significantly impact both story and gameplay. Creating a new save to explore different endings and character builds can be immensely rewarding.

Does Avowed Have Endgame Content?

*Avowed* is divided into four main regions, plus a secret finale area and a revisit to a major city, which we won't spoil here. These final areas provide a thrilling challenge, but they don't extend to previous regions or unlock new ones. Regrettably, once the credits roll, you won’t see how your choices have reshaped the Living Lands, which can be somewhat disappointing.

What You Can Do After You Beat Avowed

Without a New Game Plus and lacking dedicated endgame content, *Avowed’s* post-game offerings may feel a bit sparse. Upon defeating the final boss, you'll be treated to several minutes of animatic cutscenes that illustrate how your decisions have influenced the Living Lands. Once these scenes conclude, you'll return to the Main Menu.

From here, you have two options: embark on a fresh journey with a new Envoy or reload a previous save. Autosaves just before the point of no return and the final encounter are available, allowing you to revisit and alter your choices to experience different story outcomes.

Reloading to before the point of no return also lets you explore past regions again. You can complete any remaining side quests, collect missed items, and earn achievements. Since enemies in these areas won't scale to your level, returning to an early region like Dawnshore with your Legendary Quality weapons and gear can be incredibly fun.

And that’s what awaits you after you beat *Avowed*.

*Avowed is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass.*
