Destiny 2 Players Discover Frustrating Reputation Gain Bug

Destiny 2's Warlock players are facing another reputation glitch, this time affecting Vanguard reputation gains after the Grandmaster Nightfall's return. While Destiny 2 has enjoyed a period of positive momentum with new content like Into The Light and The Final Shape, recent weeks have seen a surge in reported bugs. Bungie is actively addressing many issues, but new problems continue to emerge with each weekly reset.

Recent bugs have included unintended free rewards in private Crucible matches and an exploit granting unlimited Paracausal Shots with the Hawkmoon. Warlocks have been particularly affected, previously experiencing a Gambit reputation bug that slowed their progression. This latest issue appears to extend beyond Gambit.

The June 25th weekly reset brought back Grandmaster Nightfalls, along with a Vanguard reputation boost and double rewards. However, Warlocks are finding their reputation gains significantly lower than those of Titans and Hunters.

The community has highlighted the disparity in Vanguard reputation XP gains during double XP events, with Warlocks consistently receiving less. Many players initially didn't realize this was a bug, only noticing the unusually slow leveling. Surprisingly, this problem may have persisted for months without official acknowledgment from Bungie. Increased awareness followed last week's discovery of similar issues in Gambit matches.

Currently, players can only raise awareness of this ongoing problem and hope for a Bungie response. The studio has been occupied with other fixes, including Update 8.0.0.5, which addressed numerous issues, adjusted the Ritual Pathfinder, and removed Elemental surges from Dungeons and Raids.
