The Animal Friends mod by annanomoly on Nexus Mods is your answer. This handy mod not only automates daily petting but also handles feeding your animals. Important note: you'll need the Mods of Mistria Installer to use this mod—it's a required companion program.
Here's how to install the Animal Friends mod:
- Create a new folder named "Mods" within your *Fields of Mistria* game files.
- Download the AnimalFriends.zip file and place it in the "Mods" folder.
- Extract the contents of the zip file. Delete or move the original zip file.
- Run the Mods of Mistria Installer to install the mod.
The Animal Friends mod offers several customizable features: auto-petting, auto-feeding, a friendship multiplier, and prevention of friendship loss. The multiplier boosts the hearts your animals gain, while the friendship loss prevention ensures those hearts stay put.
To adjust settings, locate the AnimalFriends.json file within the extracted mod folder. This is a simple text file. To enable a feature, change "false" to "true". To disable, reverse the process.
The friendship multiplier requires a numerical input (1-100). Setting it to 100 skips the bonding process; setting it to 1 disables the feature.
Keep in mind: the mod's default settings don't automatically activate auto-petting or auto-feeding. However, it does multiply heart gains from petting by five and automatically enables friendship loss prevention.
To remove the mod, don't simply delete the folder. Use the Mods of Mistria Installer to uninstall it properly, preventing potential save file corruption.
That's how to get your auto-petter in *Fields of Mistria*! Remember to back up your save file before installing any mods, even though this one is generally stable. Better safe than sorry!
