As 2024 draws to a close, Pokémon Go is ringing in 2025 with a celebratory New Year's event! This event kicks off a busy start to the year, paving the way for the Fidough Fetch event and the highly anticipated Sprigatito Community Day.

Following these exciting events, the Eggs-pedition Access arrives in January as part of the Dual Destiny season. Running from January 1st to 31st, this $4.99 in-app purchase unlocks a wealth of perks to enhance your Pokémon-catching adventures. This includes a significant upgrade to your gifting capabilities: increase your Gift storage to 40, open up to 50 Gifts daily, and collect 150 from Photo Discs. Check out the event trailer below!

What's in Store for the Pokémon Go New Year's 2025 Event?

The Pokémon Go New Year's 2025 event runs from December 30th, 2024, at 10:00 am to January 1st, 2025, at 8:00 pm. While there aren't any new Pokémon, Shiny variations, or costumes this year, there's still plenty of festive fun to be had.

Expect to encounter wild Jigglypuff with ribbons, Hoothoot in New Year's outfits, and Wurmple sporting party hats—all with a boosted chance of being Shiny. Event bonuses include 2,025 XP for Excellent Throws and celebratory fireworks adding to the atmosphere.

Tier One raids feature a Pikachu in a snowflake beanie, while Tier Three raids offer Raticate and Wobbuffet, both in festive party hats. Shiny encounters are also boosted in these raids. Keep an eye out for themed Pokémon encounters through Field Research tasks and PokéStop Showcases.

Ready to join the festivities? Download Pokémon Go from the Google Play Store and get ready for the New Year's 2025 event!
