Morefun Studios' highly anticipated 3D action brawler, formerly known as Hitori no Shita: The Outcast, is back! Now titled The Hidden Ones, this game, based on the popular webcomic, is set for a 2025 release with a pre-alpha test planned for January.
For those unfamiliar, The Hidden Ones takes place in modern-day China and follows Zhang Chulan, a young martial artist who discovers his grandfather's teachings are highly sought after—and those seeking them aren't taking "no" for an answer.
The recently released gameplay trailer (see below) showcases impressive visuals and features secondary protagonist Wang Ye. Expect intense 3D martial arts combat, parkour-style movement across cityscapes, energy projectile exchanges, and thrilling brawls.
A New Identity
Tracking down information on The Hidden Ones has proven challenging, given the numerous names associated with the series. However, initial impressions suggest a visually striking and gritty game, offering a darker aesthetic compared to other 3D ARPGs.
The game's success will hinge on its ability to attract players unfamiliar with the source material. But for those eager for more kung-fu action, there are plenty of excellent brawlers to enjoy in the meantime. Check out our list of the top 25 best fighting games for iOS and Android!
