Monster Hunter Wilds February Open Beta: New Monsters and Content Await!
Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Don't worry! A second chance to hunt arrives in early February, bringing improved features and a brand-new monster.
Hunt the Gypceros!
A second Open Beta Test is confirmed for the first two weeks of February, offering another opportunity to experience Monster Hunter Wilds before its official launch on February 28th. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news via the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.
The beta will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time, players can hunt the returning Gypceros, a monster absent from the initial beta.
Carryover and Rewards!
Character data from the first beta carries over to this one and then to the full game, though progress won't be saved. Participants receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm, and a special bonus item pack to aid early game progress.
Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating the team heard player feedback requesting another chance to participate. While recent community updates highlighted planned improvements, these won't be included in the second beta, as they're still under development.
Monster Hunter Wilds launches February 28th, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Get ready to hunt!
