GTA V Military Base Infiltration and Rhino Tank Acquisition Guide
Grand Theft Auto V, despite its age, remains incredibly popular. While GTA VI is anticipated, GTA V's continuous updates and engaging content keep players hooked. This guide focuses on acquiring the coveted Rhino tank from the heavily guarded military base, Lago Zancudo.
Locating Lago Zancudo Military Base
Lago Zancudo is situated south of North Chumash beach (see image for precise location). The base is heavily fortified, necessitating strategic infiltration.
Infiltrating Lago Zancudo
Two primary methods exist for entering the base:
Air Infiltration: Approaching by air (helicopter or plane) triggers a two-star wanted level upon airspace entry. Ignoring this escalates to a four-star wanted level, attracting guided missiles. Parachuting or a skillful landing might mitigate this risk.
Ground Infiltration: A high-speed vehicle allows for a daring approach. Jumping over surrounding cliffs or hills can place you between the outer fences, enabling stealthy movement within the base. Alternatively, a fast bike might allow you to bypass the main checkpoint if the guard is momentarily distracted.
Acquiring the Rhino Tank
Once inside, locate the Rhino tank (patrolling the base). The acquisition process involves:
- Firing upon the Rhino tank to draw the driver's attention. Immediately seek cover.
- Repeat step one until the driver abandons the vehicle.
- Eliminate the driver and claim the Rhino tank.
Note: Securing the tank instantly grants a four-star wanted level. Immediately seek refuge in a tunnel to evade aerial attacks.
