HoYoverse has officially revealed the next major update for Genshin Impact — Version 5.7, titled "A Space and Time for You", set to launch on June 18th. This highly anticipated update delivers a rich blend of new characters, story progression, innovative gameplay modes, and immersive events that deepen the lore of Teyvat.
Skirk Makes Her Debut in Version 5.7
One of the standout additions is Skirk, a mysterious figure long tied to the Abyss and known as Childe’s enigmatic mentor. Skirk enters the game as a powerful new character with a dynamic combat kit centered around dual fighting styles and a unique mechanic called Serpent’s Subtlety, offering players versatile tactical options in battle.
Alongside her is Dahlia, a brand-new 4-star Hydro character and the Deacon of the Church of Favonius. Designed as a dedicated support, Dahlia brings utility and team synergy to the forefront, making her a valuable addition to various team compositions.
The first phase of Version 5.7 features Skirk, Dahlia, and a rerun of Shenhe, giving fans a chance to strengthen their Cryo lineups. The second half welcomes back Mavuika, the Pyro Archon, and Emilie, expanding options for elemental strategies and fan-favorite interactions.

As the Abyss Order begins its movements in Natlan, tensions rise across factions. New Tactical Mini-Game from Sumeru Akademiya
The Sumeru Akademiya introduces a simulated adventure event blending tactical decision-making with procedural elements. Players will assemble a team of Companion Pieces and choose between two distinct paths: the rainforest or the desert, each offering unique challenges and outcomes. This engaging mini-game adds a fresh layer of strategic depth beyond traditional combat.
Introducing Stygian Onslaught – A New Permanent Mode
Genshin Impact Version 5.7 adds Stygian Onslaught, a permanent gameplay mode featuring three rotating bosses and six escalating difficulty tiers. Clearing challenges rewards players with valuable Artifacts and a new currency: Dust of Enlightenment. This item allows players to re-roll substats on Level 20 Artifacts, offering greater control over gear optimization.
Travelers’ Tales: Gilded Chapter – Slice-of-Life Stories
A new lighthearted series, Travelers’ Tales: Gilded Chapter, debuts in this update.
