How to Get Fidough & Dachsbun in Pokémon GO
Fidough and Dachsbun debuted during the Fidough Fetch event (January 4-8, 2025). Fidough appeared in the wild as a featured spawn, alongside other canine Pokémon. It was also available through Field Research Tasks and Collection Challenges.
Players could also obtain Fidough (and subsequently Dachsbun) through trading with other Trainers. Online Pokémon GO communities like Reddit or Discord are good places to find trading partners.
Since Dachsbun wasn't a wild spawn, Trainers needed to either trade for it or evolve a Fidough using 50 Candies. Evolving your strongest Fidough is recommended, as Dachsbun is a capable battler useful in events, PvP, and against NPCs.
Can Fidough & Dachsbun Be Shiny in Pokémon GO?
Currently (as of the Dual Destiny season), shiny Fidough and Dachsbun are unavailable. However, future events may introduce shiny variants, as is common practice in Pokémon GO. Until then, Trainers will need to patiently await their shiny debut and focus on other shiny hunting targets.
