Fans eager to dive into the first few episodes of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld will need to venture into Fortnite to catch the series premiere before it hits Disney+. Epic Games has unveiled an exciting expansion of its Star Wars offerings, announcing that the initial two episodes of the animated spinoff will debut exclusively on Fortnite. This move is part of Epic's strategy to enrich its upcoming Galactic Battle season with a galaxy of Star Wars-themed content.
Mark your calendars for May 2 at 10 a.m. ET, as that's when you can watch the premiere of Tales of the Underworld on the Star Wars Watch Party island, featuring Asajj Ventress in the spotlight. This exclusive event kicks off two days before the show becomes available to Disney+ subscribers. Epic Games is encouraging fans to link their Epic Games and MyDisney accounts, offering a First Order Stormtrooper outfit as a reward. While the full benefits of this linkage remain under wraps, Epic hints at more perks on the horizon.“Disney and Epic are pioneering the future of social entertainment together, and this expansive Star Wars collaboration offers a glimpse into the type of interactive experiences we envision,” stated Epic Games President Adam Sussman. “We are reimagining what’s possible with immersive storytelling in Fortnite with one of the world’s most beloved franchises - stay tuned for a lot more to come.”
You have until May 11 to catch both episodes on the Star Wars Watch Party island, which will also host a Battle Arena where players can wield lightsabers and battle waves of enemies. As an added bonus, viewers who watch both episodes will receive an exclusive Asajj Ventress loading screen.

Disney's partnership with Fortnite goes beyond the Galactic Battle season. In March 2024, the House of Mouse acquired a $1.5 billion stake in Epic, cementing a long-term collaboration that will bring more Star Wars, Marvel, and Pixar outfits to the popular battle royale game. Anticipated highlights for the next season include Darth Jar Jar and Emperor Palpatine.
Since its launch in 2017, Fortnite has continued to dominate the space. Recent collaborations, such as the one with Sabrina Carpenter, have kept the game fresh and engaging, encouraging players to put down their pickaxes and put on their dancing shoes.
