Farewell, SwitchArcade Readers! This is the final regular SwitchArcade Round-Up from me. After several years, I'm moving on to new opportunities. But before I go, let's dive into one last roundup!
Reviews & Mini-Views
Fitness Boxing feat. HATSUNE MIKU ($49.99)
Following the Fitness Boxing series' success (including the surprisingly good Fitness Boxing Fist of the North Star), this Miku collaboration intrigued me. Having played it alongside Ring Fit Adventure, I'm impressed. This rhythm-boxing game offers daily workouts, mini-games, and Miku-themed modes. Note: It's Joy-Con only. Features include difficulty options, free training, warm-ups, progress tracking, and unlockable cosmetics. The music is excellent, but the instructor's voice is a bit jarring and I recommend lowering its volume. While a solid fitness game, it's best used as a supplement to other routines rather than a standalone program. -Mikhail Madnani
SwitchArcade Score: 4/5
Magical Delicacy ($24.99)
Magical Delicacy blends Metroidvania exploration with cooking and crafting. The exploration is surprisingly well-executed, despite some frustrating backtracking. The crafting and inventory management, however, could use improvement, and the UI takes some getting used to. The game shines with its pixel art, music, and extensive customization options (including UI scaling and text settings). While the Switch version plays well (minor frame pacing issues aside), it could benefit from further refinement. -Mikhail Madnani
SwitchArcade Score: 4/5
Aero The Acro-Bat 2 ($5.99)
A surprisingly polished sequel to the original Aero The Acro-Bat. This release boasts an improved presentation compared to Ratalaika's usual emulation wrappers, including extras like box and manual scans, achievements, a sprite gallery, and cheats. Only the SNES version is included (no Genesis/Mega Drive version), but overall, it's a solid platformer and a great example of Ratalaika raising their emulation game. -Shaun Musgrave
SwitchArcade Score: 3.5/5
Metro Quester | Osaka ($19.99)
More of an expansion than a sequel to the original Metro Quester, this prequel offers a new dungeon, characters, and mechanics in an Osaka setting. The turn-based combat, top-down exploration, and strategic gameplay remain core features. It's a rewarding experience for fans of the original, and a great entry point for newcomers. -Shaun Musgrave
SwitchArcade Score: 4/5
