Sony's popular PlayStation console themes for PS5 are disappearing! The limited-time PSOne, PS2, PS3, and PS4 themes are leaving the PlayStation Store on January 31, 2025. However, Sony has confirmed their return in the coming months, offering a glimmer of hope for nostalgic PS5 users.
In a recent tweet, Sony expressed gratitude for the positive reception of the themes, stating they are working to bring these designs back.

Despite this positive news, Sony also announced that no additional themes are currently planned for the PS5. This announcement has met with some fan disappointment, as themes were a staple feature of previous PlayStation consoles.
These nostalgic themes, released to commemorate PlayStation's 30th anniversary on December 3, 2024, allowed users to customize their PS5 home screen and menus with iconic visuals and sounds from past generations. Each theme recreated the distinct aesthetic and audio of its respective console. The PSOne theme featured the original console's image, the PS2 its menu design, the PS3 its wave background, and the PS4 its signature wave patterns. All themes incorporated the corresponding console's boot-up sounds.
