NieR: Automata's opening introduces 2B's initial mission. After deploying and engaging in melee combat, you'll acquire a one-handed and a two-handed sword.
The two-handed weapon, the Virtuous Treaty, is a potent early-game weapon temporarily lost after the prologue. However, it's quickly recoverable once free-roaming is unlocked in the subsequent chapter.
Where To Find the Virtuous Treaty in NieR: Automata
This early-game weapon is easily accessible. After exiting the bunker, land in the city ruins and descend to the lower level. Locate the highway to the left of the nearest access point. Proceed towards the highway, utilizing the ruins to climb onto the road. This path leads back towards the factory.
Descend into the factory area and follow the grassy path to the main structure. An access point and stairs leading upward are located on the left. At the top, look left towards the destroyed bridge where you encountered the Goliath enemy. The Virtuous Treaty is embedded in the ground at the bridge's edge.
Your discarded equipment from the prologue, containing consumables, is located just to the right of the sword.
Virtuous Treaty Stats in NieR: Automata
- Attack: 300-330
- Combo: Lt 2 Hv 2
This two-handed sword, like others in its class, excels at wide-range attacks, dealing substantial damage to multiple enemies. Its attack speed is slower than average. However, upgrades can significantly increase its damage output, making it a top contender if you can adapt to its slower pace. You can also integrate it into combos with faster weapons by using a heavy attack during a lighter weapon's sequence. While this limits full combo potential, it compensates for the slow attack speed while leveraging its high damage.
