WoW Unveils Exciting New Timewalking Dates

World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways

World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, offering a whopping seven weeks of Timewalking campaigns, running until February 24th. Get ready for a whirlwind tour through WoW's history, earning fantastic rewards along the way.

This extended event builds upon the success of the initial Turbulent Timeways event in September 2023. Players can once again earn Timewarped Badges, a significant experience boost, and a chance at coveted achievements. The key is achieving "Mastery of Timeways" – a 20% experience buff earned by completing four Timewalking dungeons within a given week.

The Grand Prize: Obtain Mastery of Timeways for at least five out of the seven weeks, and you'll unlock the prestigious "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement, rewarding you with the adorable Timely Buzzbee mount!

Event Schedule:

The Timewalking campaigns will cycle through WoW expansions in this order:

  • January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
  • January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
  • January 21-27: Legion
  • January 28-February 3: Classic
  • February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
  • February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
  • February 18-24: Cataclysm

More Than Just a Mount:

This isn't just about the mount. Timewalking vendors for each expansion feature new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Plus, for those who missed it last time, the Sandy Shalewing pet is making a return! And, for the duration of Turbulent Timeways, completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest awards Heroic-level gear.

A Busy Start to 2025:

With the recent 20th-anniversary event's 11 weeks of Timewalking and the ongoing Plunderstorm event, players will have experienced a staggering 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking by the time Turbulent Timeways concludes. The event's February 24th end date also hints at future plans. Given Blizzard's typical release schedule, this strongly suggests that World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, "Undermined," is likely to launch on February 25th, approximately 10 weeks after Patch 11.0.7. This sets the stage for a jam-packed start to 2025, with "Undermined," the second run of Plunderstorm, and the first major content update for "The War Within" all arriving in quick succession.
