Hanoi Towers: A Mathematical Puzzle Game
The Hanoi Towers (also known as Towers of Hanoi, Tower of Brahma, and Lucas' Tower) is a classic mathematical puzzle. The game features three rods and a set of disks of varying sizes, stacked from largest to smallest on one rod, resembling a cone.
The goal is to move all disks from the starting rod to the target rod using the fewest moves possible, adhering to these rules:
- Only one disk can be moved at a time.
- Only the top disk can be moved.
- A larger disk cannot be placed on top of a smaller disk.
The game progresses through levels. Each completed level adds a new disk to the starting stack, increasing the difficulty. Upon completing a level, a summary screen displays:
- Level number completed
- Completion time
- Time record achievement (if applicable)
- A three-star rating based on: minimal moves, no errors, and a time record.
Victory requires completing all seven levels. A final results screen summarizes game performance, including: level completion times, records, move counts (good and bad), star ratings earned, and achievement progress.
Six achievements can be unlocked:
- First Three Stars: Achieving a first three-star rating.
- Three Impeccable Levels: Consecutive three-star ratings (three times).
- Four Consecutive Time Records: Achieving three level time records.
- Unstoppable!: Achieving five level time records.
- Game Completed: Completing all seven levels.
- Best Game Time: Completing the game in the minimum time.
Enjoy this challenging and rewarding mathematical game!
