Conan the Barbarian Gameplay Revealed in Mortal Kombat 1 Trailer

Mortal Kombat 1 has treated fans to back-to-back video releases, keeping the excitement levels high. Yesterday, the esports trailer teased us with a glimpse of the T-1000, but don't get too excited yet—the iconic Terminator won't be the next fighter to join the roster. Instead, next week, premium edition owners will get their hands on none other than Conan the Barbarian. Today, the MK1 team unveiled a gameplay trailer showcasing this legendary character in action.

Conan fits the classic Big-Body archetype, known for delivering devastatingly powerful attacks that likely pack a serious punch. While he may lack the speed and agility of some fighters, he makes up for it with the extended reach of his sword, offering a unique twist to his combat style. It'll be fascinating to watch Conan go head-to-head with other heavyweights like General Shao, Omni-Man, and Homelander.

Although Conan bears the striking resemblance of Arnold Schwarzenegger, his fatality leaves a bit to be desired. Instead of a jaw-dropping spectacle, Conan opts for a straightforward approach, submerging his opponent in a pool of acid. While it might not have the flair of other MK1 fatalities, the game's allure extends beyond these finishing moves. Conan's inclusion promises to add a fun and dynamic layer to the gameplay experience.

If you're among the lucky ones with the premium editions, you can dive into the action with Conan next Tuesday. For everyone else, mark your calendars for January 28, when this barbarian warrior becomes available to all.
