Square Enix Announces The EOS Of Romancing SaGa Re:universe

Romancing SaGa Re:universe Global Server Closure Announced

The global version of Romancing SaGa Re:universe will officially cease operations on December 2nd, 2024. While this news may come as a surprise to some, the Japanese version will continue running.

Only Two Months Remain

The shutdown date is fast approaching. In-app purchases of jewels and Google Play Point exchanges have already been discontinued following the September 29th, 2024 maintenance.

Launched in June 2020, the global server's four-year run is ending. Despite its impressive visuals, soundtrack, and generous gacha system, the game received mixed player feedback.

Unlike its successful Japanese counterpart, the global version struggled to gain widespread appeal. The absence of significant content updates, such as the Solistia region and 6-star units (available in Japan for nearly a year), contributed to player dissatisfaction and ultimately impacted the game's longevity.

Square Enix has already closed several mobile titles this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile games.

Romancing SaGa Re:universe, a turn-based RPG based on the classic SaGa series, offers players two months left to enjoy its content. Whether you're a longtime fan or a curious newcomer, you can download the game from the Google Play Store.
