Svara is a card game.
The game has various names and versions, including Sikka, Sichka, Dragonfly, Trinka, Drynka, three leaves, two leaves, and others.
The game includes a Joker, which is designated by agreement, often as a Six of any suit.
Card values:
Joker and Ace — 11 points.
From King to Ten — 10 points.
Lower-valued cards are worth their face value.
The player with the highest total points wins.
Game rules:
A dealer is chosen by lot. Players ante an agreed amount of money to form the pot.
The dealer gives each player three cards, after which players decide to fold or continue.
Points are counted for cards of the same suit – a flush (e.g., a Seven and a Jack of Clubs yield 17 points).
Otherwise, a player only scores points from their highest card.
Holding three cards of the same rank (a triplet, or "trynka") yields a sum that beats any flush (unless a higher triplet exists).
The betting round follows. The player to the dealer's right places the first bet.
Subsequent players can either fold, call, or raise the bet.
After the round, the first player decides to continue betting or reveal the cards.
The pot is awarded to the player with the highest point total.
If two or more players have an equal score, it's decided whether to split the pot or start a new round ("svara").
The "svara" round involves playing for the same pot plus an additional bet of 1/N (where N is the amount of the previous pot).
Other players may also contribute and join the competition.
The game also allows bluffing: raising the bet with a knowingly lower point total.
If successful, the bluffing player wins the pot without revealing their cards.
The player after the dealer also has the option to place an additional "blind" bet of any size on top of the regular bet.
This player must not look at their cards.
Subsequent players who wish to continue must place a bet double the amount of the blind bet.
