Mindi is a beloved card game that combines fun and strategy. It's a team-based trick-taking game.
The goal is to win tricks that contain tens.
Mindi is also called MindiKot, Mendhi Coat, Mindi Multiplayer, or Dehla Pakad, which means "Collect the tens."
Mindi is a four-player game, with two partnerships sitting opposite each other. It uses a standard 52-card deck.
The player who draws the highest card becomes the first dealer. The dealer shuffles and deals 13 cards to each player.
The game features two modes for endless fun.
Hide Mode: The player to the dealer's right places a card face-down on the table, which sets the trump suit for that round.
Cut Mode: Play starts without a declared trump suit. If a player cannot follow suit, the suit they play becomes the trump for the deal.
Once a trump suit is set, the highest trump card in a trick wins it. If no trump is played, the highest card of the leading suit wins. The winner of each trick leads the next and keeps the captured cards in a face-down pile.
Winning a hand requires a partnership to capture three or all four of the Tens. Capturing all four is called Mendicot.
Mindi is a cherished, traditional pastime in India, perfect for playing countless hours with family and friends.
