Priced at $79.99, they are available for pre-order now and are scheduled for release on September 9. For gamers who prefer a more minimalist controller design, the Storm Breaker is the ideal choice. It retains the signature shard-based pattern but uses a sophisticated combination of black, gray, and white. Unlike the other models, its faceplate is not translucent; instead, it features subtle silver accents that become visible as the controller catches the light. It also comes with a metallic D-pad for a premium touch.
Like all official Xbox Wireless controllers, these new editions are fully compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PCs, Mac, Android, and iOS devices. As a long-time gamer, I consider this generation of Xbox controllers to be among the best I've ever used. They are exceptionally comfortable to hold, and the textured grips and triggers provide excellent control. While the PS5's DualSense controller offers features like a large touchpad and advanced haptics, I find the superior ergonomics and feel of the Xbox controller make it my preferred choice for extended gaming sessions. This, of course, is a matter of personal preference.
