Schell Games and Innersloth, the creative minds behind Among Us 3D, have set the official release date for the game. Announced via the game's official Twitter (X) on April 16, Among Us 3D is scheduled to launch on May 6, 2025. Initially known as Among Us VR, the game has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to cater to a wider audience with its cross-play multiplayer feature. This week, the developers introduced a new currency called Stardust, which offers players endless flexibility in choosing their in-game purchases.
Among Us 3D isn't just a rebranded title; it's packed with fresh features like a permanent Tag Mode, introducing the Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, and both new and returning mini-games. Plus, players can expect a variety of new cosmetics to personalize their experience.
To clarify, Among Us 3D is a standalone game, separate from the original Among Us VR released in 2022. Cross-play between the two games won't be available.
