Microsoft has announced the list of games that will be departing from its Xbox Game Pass subscription service on May 15, 2025. A total of eight games are scheduled to leave, including Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Little Kitty, Big City.
Xbox Game Pass offers an extensive online gaming experience for Xbox and PC users, allowing subscribers to stream games directly on various smart devices and consoles. Depending on the subscription tier, members can enjoy new games from day one, and access a vast library of high-quality games to play with friends on console, PC, or via cloud. The following eight titles are set to be removed from this catalog:
Games leaving Xbox Game Pass in May are:
- Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
- Chants of Sennaar
- Dune: Spice Wars
- Hauntii
- Jurassic World Evolution 2
- Little Kitty, Big City
- Planet of Lana
- The Big Con
Microsoft is anticipated to unveil Wave 2 of the May 2025 Game Pass lineup shortly after these games are removed from the service.
Earlier this month, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members received an exciting new benefit: the ability to stream certain games directly to their consoles, eliminating the need for downloads.
This update was shared through an Xbox Wire post, where Xbox revealed that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can now stream games from the Game Pass library, as well as "select games they own" on their Xbox Series X and S and Xbox One consoles using cloud streaming. Previously, this feature was available on smart TVs, PCs, smartphones, and Meta Quest headsets, but this marks its debut on consoles.
In light of recent news that Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed to May 2026, fans eager to dive back into the GTA universe can take solace in the fact that GTA 5 Enhanced is now accessible on Xbox Game Pass and Game Pass for PC. This is particularly noteworthy for PC gamers, as it's the first time GTA 5 has been included in the PC Game Pass catalog.
