AFK Journey Tier List
A disclaimer: Most AFK Journey heroes are usable. However, some are superior for challenging endgame content.
This tier list prioritizes versatility and performance across PvE, Dream Realm, and PvP.

S-Tier Characters
Lily May, a must-have Wilder, delivers significant damage and utility. She counters Eironn teams in PvP and excels in AFK stages and Dream Realm.
Thoran remains the top F2P tank, even alongside Phraesto (a luxury unit). Reinier is the premier support for both PvE and PvP (Dream Realm and Arena).
Koko and Smokey & Meerky are essential supports across all game modes. Odie shines in Dream Realm and PvE.
Eironn, with Damien and Arden, forms a dominant Arena team.
Tasi, a versatile Wilder, offers strong crowd control in most modes. Harak, a Hypogean/Celestial warrior, strengthens with each enemy kill, boasting Life Drain.
A-Tier Characters
Lyca and Vala effectively utilize Haste, a crucial stat boosting attack frequency and speed. Lyca boosts party Haste, while Vala increases her own through kills. Lyca's PvP performance can be inconsistent.
Antandra is a solid tank alternative to Thoran, offering taunts, shields, and crowd control.
Viperian complements a Graveborn core with energy drain and AoE attacks, excelling outside Dream Realm.
Alsa (added May 2024) is a strong DPS mage, particularly effective with Eironn in PvP. She's easier to build than Carolina.
Phraesto (added June 2024) is a durable tank but lacks damage output.
Ludovic (added August 2024) is a strong Graveborn healer, synergizing well with Talene and excelling in PvP.
Cecia, while a capable Marksman, has decreased in value due to Lily May and Dream Realm meta shifts.
Sonja (added December 2024) significantly improves the Lightborne faction, offering respectable damage and utility.
B-Tier Characters
B-Tier characters are suitable for filling roles but warrant less investment. Replace them with A or S-Tier heroes when possible.
Valen and Brutus are strong early-game DPS options. Granny Dahnie serves as a decent early-game tank with debuffs and heals.
Arden and Damien are PvP meta mainstays, less useful in other modes.
Florabelle (added April 2024) is a secondary DPS supporting Cecia but isn't essential.
Soren (added May 2024) is decent in PvP but not optimal elsewhere.
Korin's Dream Realm effectiveness has diminished. Odie is now preferred.
C-Tier Characters
C-Tier characters are quickly outclassed. Focus on summoning better replacements.
Parisa offers powerful AoE crowd control, useful in some PvP scenarios, but should be replaced soon.
