Albion Online has announced the release date for its next major expansion, the Abyssal Depths. Launching on Android June 30th, this update will take players on a subterranean journey, introducing a new PvP battleground and menacing fiery mounts.
What’s in Store?
The update focuses on the Depths, a new extraction dungeon for parties of two to three. These intense, close-quarters encounters are high-risk, but they protect your equipped gear. Under new Orange PvP rules, you only drop items you are carrying upon death, not what you're wearing.
This change lowers the barrier to entry for PvP, allowing more players to engage without fear of catastrophic loss. Once inside a Depths run, you’ll battle demons and rival players for powerful buffs while gathering Souls. The climax is a final PvP confrontation over a sealed vault as the dungeon crumbles around you.
This new mode is part of a fresh ecosystem centered on the Antiquarian’s Den, an underground hub with direct connections to the Depths, Corrupted Dungeons, and Hellgates. Accessible from all Royal Cities and Caerleon, it offers faster matchmaking and the convenience of a nearby bank.
The Den is also home to the enigmatic Antiquarian, a figure who tracks your accomplishments. Your Antiquarian Standing increases the more you fight within the Depths and other infernal zones. Get a first look at the Abyssal Depths in action.
Den rewards include a hell-themed avatar and avatar ring, alongside Tier 4 to Tier 8 Demon Cape crests. The update also brings two unique spider mounts: the Hellspinner and the Soulspinner.
