A new trailer for the highly anticipated TV series, *Alien: Earth*, has surfaced online, giving fans an exciting glimpse into the upcoming show. The trailer, which first premiered at Disney's 2025 Annual Meeting of Shareholders, was shared on the @CineGeekNews X/Twitter account. It showcases the harrowing journey of a spaceship's survivors as they navigate the aftermath of a Xenomorph attack and chart a course toward Earth.

The trailer not only reveals the new Xenomorph design but also highlights how closely *Alien: Earth* mirrors the aesthetic of Ridley Scott’s iconic 1979 horror classic. A scene inside a MU/TH/UR control room, strikingly similar to the one on the Nostromo, sets the stage for the unfolding horror. In the trailer, a crew member desperately pleads for help as the Xenomorph closes in, while Morrow, portrayed by Babou Ceesay, coldly reports that the "specimens are loose," declares the crew dead, and sets the ship's trajectory toward Earth. The trailer also shows a group of six soldiers approaching what appears to be the crashed ship, hinting at the dangers that await them.

The trailer raises several intriguing questions: Will Morrow survive? What drives his actions? Are there any other survivors, and has anyone been impregnated by the Xenomorph? And what fate awaits the soldiers?

*Alien: Earth* follows the story of a mysterious space vessel crashing on Earth, where a young woman, played by Sydney Chandler, and a group of tactical soldiers make a chilling discovery that pits them against Earth's greatest threat.

PlayFX’s Alien series is set in 2120, fitting neatly between the events of *Prometheus* and *Alien*. This timeline has sparked speculation among fans that *Alien: Earth* might explore the Nostromo's departure from Earth or reveal how Weyland-Yutani first learned about the Xenomorphs. Notably, the recently released *Alien: Romulus* takes place between *Alien* and *Aliens*, serving as another point of reference within the franchise's chronology.

In January last year, showrunner Noah Hawley shared his vision for *Alien: Earth*, explaining his decision to deviate from the *Prometheus* backstory. Hawley, who consulted with Ridley Scott on numerous aspects of the series, opted for the "retro-futurism" of the original films, preferring their lore over the bioweapon narrative introduced in the prequels.

*Alien: Earth* is set to premiere on Hulu in the summer of 2025, with *Alien: Romulus 2* also in development, promising more thrilling adventures within the *Alien* universe.
