Aquarion Tribe Gets Major Buffs in The Battle of Polytopia, Becoming Thalassic Superstars!

Midjiwan has just released a significant update for The Battle of Polytopia, featuring a comprehensive rework of the Aquarion Tribe, the first special tribe introduced back in 2017. This update brings a fresh and exciting twist to the game, enhancing the gameplay experience for both new and veteran players.

The Aquarion Are Getting A Serious Makeover

Let's dive into the details of their new look and abilities. The Aquarion land units now boast mermaid tails, making them either fully aquatic or amphibious. These units can effortlessly navigate water, though they move a bit slower on land. A new feature, flooded terrain, allows both land and naval units to occupy the same space, adding a strategic layer to the game.

The update also introduces aquatic buildings. Players can now build structures on water, and explore Lost Cities hidden in deep-sea ruins, which serve as ideal bases for those who prefer aquatic warfare. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Additionally, Aqua Crops have been reintroduced as a permanent feature for the Aquarion, functioning similarly to their land-based counterparts.

Prepare to encounter new sea creatures in The Battle of Polytopia, thanks to the revamped Aquarion Tribe. Sharks now offer surprise attacks, Puffers provide long-range bombardments, and Jellies can zap enemies with electric shocks. Familiar units like Tridentions and Crabs are back, with Crabs now flooding the tiles they traverse, complementing the mermaid-tailed troops perfectly. Curious about how it all looks? Check out the trailer below!
