Even after completing the main quest, Assassin’s Creed Shadows offers a vast open world brimming with side content. You're free to explore and fully experience the rich tapestry of Feudal Japan at your leisure.
Moreover, the game will continue to evolve with new weekly challenges introduced via the Animus post-launch, ensuring there’s always something new to do, even after achieving 100% completion.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Epilogue and Endgame Explained
After the credits roll, the story may not be entirely over. In my playthrough, the title and credits appeared after completing the Shinbakufu Objective Board and the main quests for Yasuke and Naoe. However, I still needed to unlock the trophy for finishing Act 3 and The Epilogue in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. To see the true ending, you must complete the personal stories of Naoe, Yasuke, and Junjiro, and then return to the Hideout to speak with Tomiko. This will unlock the complete ending and the associated achievements.
Additionally, players can earn exclusive gear themed around the Assassins for Naoe and the Templars for Yasuke towards the game's end. These armor sets come with unique perks that enhance each protagonist's playstyle and are a nod to nostalgic Assassin’s Creed fans.
As for endgame content, you can continue to level up to the game’s maximum level cap long after the credits have rolled.

While the main story of Assassin’s Creed Shadows concludes at launch, the adventure doesn't end there. Expect new content via the Animus and updates to the in-game store with fresh items. Moreover, a story expansion titled The Claws of Awaji is set to release in 2025, offering over 10 hours of new content on the Island of Awaji.
