The Battle of Polytopia is available for free on the Epic Games Store this week, and the timing is perfect. With the $10,000 World Championship approaching fast, new players have a great reason to jump in, master the basics, and perhaps even secure a spot at the live finals in Stockholm this December. It might be a long shot, but aiming high never hurts.
The championship starts on September 13th with The Battle of the Tribes, a ten-week qualification period. Each weekend features tournaments where you'll compete in the Might game mode. You’ll engage in best-of-three single-elimination matches to capture capitals and advance.
Each qualifier determines a champion for one of Polytopia’s 12 tribes, setting the stage for November’s Face Off round, which narrows down the competitors to six finalists. These top six players will be flown to Stockholm for the in-person finals on December 6th, featuring a live studio audience, professional commentary, and the opportunity to shine at Midjiwan’s headquarters.

The prize pool is substantial: $4,000 for first place, $2,000 for second, and $1,500 each for third and fourth. The remaining two finalists will take home $500. Entry is free and open to anyone aged 18 or older who wants to prove their skills. You can register via Challengermode’s Polytopia Official Space or directly within the game under Multiplayer > Tournaments.
With no entry fees, cash prizes up for grabs, and free access to the game this week, it's the ideal time to see how your strategy compares. Download The Battle of Polytopia today at no cost. Visit the official website for further details. Your journey toward glory—and hopefully a seat in Stockholm—starts now.
