Indie developer Sander Frenken has announced that his upcoming game, Battledom, is now in Alpha testing. This RTS-lite title serves as a spiritual successor to Frenken's 2020 hit, Herodom. A part-time developer, Frenken has dedicated roughly two years to crafting Battledom, a project he describes as closely resembling his initial vision for Herodom.
Battledom offers dynamic RTS battle mechanics, allowing for free unit movement across the map. Directly target enemies and manually unleash siege weapons to wreak havoc. Employ diverse formations to enhance your strategic advantage.
Build your army using in-game coins. Initially, units start with basic weapons and no armor. However, strategic customization is key. Equip your units with a range of weapons and armor pieces, each impacting stats such as range, accuracy, defense, and attack power.
These enhancements aren't found through exploration; instead, they require crafting within your village. Gather resources like wood, leather, and coal, then visit the blacksmith, magician, and other crafters to create the necessary items.
Frenken is best known for Herodom, which boasts a 4.6 App Store rating. This game features over 55 collectible heroes, 150+ units and siege weapons, and historically inspired battles. Progress unlocks new hairstyles, body types, crops, and animals for your in-game farm.
