In a recent post on Twitter/X, the official Bethesda account teased the upcoming announcement without explicitly stating its content. However, the prominent "IV" displayed in the center of the promotional image, coupled with a background strikingly similar to a well-known piece of Oblivion art, strongly hints at what's to come.
Rumors of an Oblivion remake have been circulating for what feels like an eternity. The speculation escalated with a leaked 2020 Bethesda release schedule during the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which indicated a remaster planned for fiscal year 2022. Although the document's age and missed release window initially suggested a possible cancellation, subsequent leaks reignited the buzz. In January of this year, another leak suggested that Bethesda, in collaboration with support studio Virtuos, was working on a full-blown remake. The excitement reached a peak last week when leaks from Virtuos' website emerged, featuring images of the remake in progress.
If these recent leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is set to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Additionally, a Deluxe Edition will be available, which includes the iconic horse armor alongside the standard version.
Be sure to tune in tomorrow to witness the official confirmation and to gather more details about this exciting remake.
