Black Ops 6 Welcomes a New Zombies Map
Say Goodbye to Amalgams (Maybe)
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6's fifth new Zombies map is on its way, and a sneak peek has been revealed via the official Call of Duty (X) Twitter and Treyarch Studios' X account. A March 12, 2025 post showcased a striking image: a grand mansion, scarred by damage, surrounded by burning vehicles and ominous black smoke billowing from its windows.
The cryptic caption, "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" accompanied by the "#Zombies" hashtag, hints at the involvement of the series' recurring character, Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a key figure in Call of Duty: Cold War. Given Black Ops 6's status as a remake of Cold War, Eddie's return is hardly surprising.
Sharp-eyed fans have identified the location as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, specifically February 1991, as indicated in the teaser image. This timeline aligns perfectly with the narrative of Black Ops 6's previous Zombies map, The Tomb, suggesting a direct continuation of the storyline.
A significant change in this new map is the apparent absence of Amalgam enemies. Responding to a fan comment on Instagram about anticipating a horde of Amalgams, Treyarch simply replied, "Nope." This news will undoubtedly be welcomed by players who found these high-health, hard-hitting Elite enemies particularly challenging. A smoother, less brutal experience may be in store for this location.
