The legendary Pokémon Black Kyurem and White Kyurem are set to make their thrilling debut at the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova – Global event. These powerful creatures bring with them new Adventure Effects that enhance your gameplay outside of battle. Don't miss out on using the Tour Pass to maximize your earnings throughout the event.
Black Kyurem's Freeze Shock ability envelops wild Pokémon in electrically charged ice for 10 minutes, immobilizing them and making them significantly easier to catch. On the other hand, White Kyurem's Ice Burn ability slows down the target ring during encounters, aiding you in landing those coveted Excellent Throws. Both effects can be extended in 10-minute increments, up to a maximum of two hours at a time, with a total extension limit of 24 hours.
During the event, you'll have the chance to challenge Black Kyurem and White Kyurem in five-star raids to earn Fusion Energy. This energy is crucial for fusing either Zekrom or Reshiram with a Kyurem that knows Glaciate. Upon fusion, Freeze Shock or Ice Burn will replace Glaciate, but remember, these moves will revert back to Glaciate once the Pokémon are separated. Note that currently, Kyurem cannot learn these moves through Charged TM or Elite Charged TM.
You'll also have the exciting opportunity to choose between two event badges: the Black Version (Reshiram) or the White Version (Zekrom). Opting for the Black Version means that any Kyurem you encounter after defeating Black Kyurem will know Glaciate, and you'll receive Reshiram-themed Special Research rewards. Choosing the White Version grants you Zekrom-themed Special Research rewards, with Kyurem encountered after defeating White Kyurem also knowing Glaciate.
To enhance your experience, leverage the Tour Pass, which not only unlocks various rewards but also boosts your Adventure Effects. You can accumulate Tour Points by catching Pokémon, participating in raids, and hatching Eggs. Alternatively, accelerate your progress with quick Pass Tasks. Reaching Major Milestones will increase your Catch XP and extend the duration of Freeze Shock or Ice Burn.
For the ultimate experience, consider upgrading to the Tour Pass Deluxe. This premium option provides immediate encounters with Victini, additional event-themed encounters, an exclusive avatar item, and the innovative Lucky Trinket. The Lucky Trinket is a one-time-use item that enables you to become Lucky Friends with someone from your Friend List, enhancing your next trade significantly.
Mark your calendars for the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova – Global, running from February 24th to March 2nd, and prepare to immerse yourself in this exciting event.
