Neowiz and Gamfs N have launched the first content update for Brown Dust 2 since its 1.5-year anniversary celebration in December. This exciting update, titled "Onsen Training," brings a fiery dose of Japanese winter hot spring action to the game, complete with sword-fighting battles, quirky challenges, and a healthy dose of monkey mayhem. Get ready for some fun!
Brown Dust 2: Onsen Training is Here!
This update introduces three new characters: Ventana, the story's protagonist, and Liberta, both available through the pickup draw; and Blade, an exclusive character within the narrative.
The "Onsen Training" event story unfolds within the same universe as Character Pack 1: Jayden's Gate from Brown Dust 2. It features 30 battles, divided into 15 normal and 15 challenge modes.
The adventure begins with Ventana, the Kendo Club captain, recovering from a crushing defeat against a new student, Justia. Seeking to regain her honor, she journeys to a snowy mountain hot spring known for enhancing physical strength. However, her training takes an unexpected turn when she encounters mischievous Snowy Mountain Monkeys! Rescued by Blade, a legendary Kendo Club graduate, Ventana's request for training is initially rejected. Liberta, the hot spring manager, steps in to help Ventana win Blade's mentorship.
A New Mini-Game: Onsen Tile Tactics
This time-based tile-clearing mini-game adds another layer of fun. The event story is divided into phases: "Legendary Graduate" (week one), culminating in "Beyond Legend" (week three).
Players will face returning and new bosses. Giant Rou, the Fiend Hunter, returns in week one. Week three introduces the formidable Snowy Mountain Tyrant, a colossal monkey whose strength increases when targeting enemies with DoT effects. Rucersingha, the Ruler of the Void, makes its debut as a Guild Raid boss. Lacking inherent properties, Rucersingha unleashes devastating attacks, demanding strategic chain stacks for defeat.
New gear and costumes are also available. The "Onsen Practitioner Ventana" costume is available until January 30th, followed by the "Onsen Manager Liberta" costume, available until February 13th.
